Let me put you in the picture!
Just over a year ago I decided to set up my own #craft business using recycled wood, leather and glass. My original plan was to get my business going behind closed doors, you know to see what direction I wanted to go in and develop my style.
I also knew I wanted to learn #pyrography (the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point). So wanted to give myself the privacy and time to do that. This plan changed when I put one photograph on #instagram under the name I had decided on – A Bunch Of Stuff.
Since then I have been super busy especially after a great but slightly chaotic first year, particularly over the festive period with eight successful pop-ups.
After this time I felt I needed to just step back and re-boot. For me this included focusing some on moving my business forward. On doing so I realised my style had changed organically from, as the name says ‘A Bunch Of Stuff’ which was an eclectic mix of recycled wood glass and leather products, to a more refined artistic direction of pyrography on sustainable or recycled homeware products as you can see in the image above.
Therefore I felt it was time for a rebrand as I have ‘found’ my style.
I am very excited to launch my new logo and name ‘New Ember’ (thanks to my husband) and say goodbye to ‘A Bunch Of Stuff’.
The lovely Hannah from Cairn & Grace (thanks to Stacey at The Tribe for the recommendation) has designed this for me. She has been a joy to work with and made the whole process enjoyable. She completely understood my remit of wood-burning and has delivered this stunning artwork to compliment my work. Thank you Hannah.
